The Steele Pole Barn Project

The Steele Pole Barn Project

This 50-by-60-foot pole barn with a 16-foot height offers both functionality and a refined look, making it ideal for versatile use. Constructed with 4-ply 2x6 laminated posts and wood trusses at a 4/12 pitch spaced 4 feet apart, this barn is built for durability. Framing features include treated 2x8 skirt boards, 2x6 wall girts, and 2x4 roof purlins spaced every 2 feet, ensuring a sturdy structure that stands up to the elements.

The barn’s exterior combines Pewter Gray walls with Ash Gray wainscoting, trim, and roofing, creating a modern, cohesive color scheme. It’s equipped with a 36-inch steel entry door and two 3x3-foot sliding windows positioned high on the walls, allowing natural light to enter while preserving privacy and security. The 12-inch overhangs add a finishing touch, providing extra protection and enhancing the barn's visual appeal.
